Xaus is superseded by Mission Phono.
Xaus will make all your wildest turntable dreams come true — after your table, arm, cartridge, phono-stage... and that’s to say nothing about the vinyl and that wavy little squiggle.... Yeah, that’s right, it’s all about the music, and, well, you know. But really, Xaus can really help your turntable sound out.
Developed specifically for phono level signal transmission, not simply an adaptation of a line level coax product. Xaus employs a Gore®-quad two channel geometry with the addition of an overall high conductance shield completely isolated from signal and signal’s mate with ground leadout at both source and load. This architecture yields the following unique benefits:
Shared dielectric space which prevents channel A from seeing a different space than channel B. This safeguards against induced differential noise.
Read more...Ground is completely discrete, meaning it’s not connected to either signal or signal’s mate. Ground leads are out of the circuit until connected via the ground lead outs. This allows you to ground at just the source side, load side, both, or neither.
Reduction of Cp measures by up to 40% compared to coax with similar conductance measures. Xaus also features Zu’s silver alloy conductor. Wire geometry is a 6/1 concentric lay. Insulation is TFEP white insulation on every circuit to insure identical character. Color coding does allow for faster and easier production, and is essential for nontechnical labor, but even the die or pigment used in the insulator will influence sound, and using wire marks on the insulation does degrade sonic performance.
TFEP, Nylon, AuTi and C dielectric components. 100% high magnitude shielding. Single grounding point. L/R signals are treated as balanced. Again, L/R signals are not referenced to earth. 90 dB L/R channel separation. Very low audiogenic distortion. Flexible.
Available in the following connectors: RCA > RCA; DIN > RCA; DIN > XLR; XLR > XLR. 90˚ DIN plugs are also available.
RoHS compliant
Limited 5-year warranty
