What about insulation influences, “dielectric” Sure, a big secondary influence. All types of dielectric materials interact and “sound” differently. Silk, cotton, wax, PE, cross-linked PE, TFEP, PO, PU, PVC, and on and on and on and on. Even in just the Teflon-type plastics there are hundreds of variants, all sounding different. It’s impossible to say really what is best. The reason many love the sound a wire insulated in silk soaked in pure carnauba might not be because of the silk…. How about no dielectric? Like lightning without the lightning bolt then? Maybe we’re talking about pure music here, where angeles insert the stuff directly to your soul. Are you telling me somebody is marketing a “dielectric free” cable? The guy is likely interesting at a party but buying his product, I don’t think so. |
